REDUCED PRICE! Ace in the Hole was the first post- Gearhead full length studio album and also the first as a trio since Stefans departure. It showcased a more varied and melodic sound but delivered with "DEMONS" patented full fury, high energy punch. It got great press, opened all sorts of doors and the band was invited to open for The Hellacopters on their farewell tour. Stuff of legends right there. Ace in the Hole was sadly never released on vinyl but it still stands as one of the best records "DEMONS" ever did.

"The band does two-minute rockers which contain all neccesities, from pounding guitars which wrestle with crazy saxophones, to smoke rings and hoochie coo as in "Cold Chills". The result is charming and effective, and of course shall a song about unhappy love be called "(Her Name Was) Tragedy. "Demons", who warm up the stage floor for The Hellacopters this fall, is worth an extra listen."
